Kimberly Shaffner, APNP
I am an Advanced Practice Nurse Provider that is the founder and owner of Elemental Skin & Body Medical Aesthetics. I started my career in healthcare in 2002 working in a local family medical office. I enrolled in nursing school and obtained my Associates Degree in Nursing while volunteering as an EMT/Firefighter with Elkhorn Area Fire Department. My nursing career began in the Emergency Department in Woodstock, Illinois where I continued my education, obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Nursing. In changing location of employment to Mercy Walworth Medical Center in Lake Geneva, I continued in the Emergency Department where I continue to work today. I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and obtained Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in 2017. It was in November of 2018, I began to look at my future to do what I really enjoy and developed a plan to obtain certifications in Aesthetic Injectables. These certifications and the skills that I have learned have allowed me to guide my clients in obtaining their desired beauty and overall skin health.
On a personal level, I am local to Walworth County since 1998 and am a proud mom to four amazing, energetic boys. I enjoy running, cycling, activities outdoors and on the water, and time with friends and family. I find great satisfaction in guiding and assisting clients to enjoy keeping their skin healthy, youthful and a reflection of who they are.
Carol Myers-Licensed Esthetician
Carol originally set out to be an accountant, receiving a B.S. in accounting from Arizona State University. After a few years in the industry, her passion and love for all things “skin” prevailed and led to a career as an aesthetician in 2012. Over the years, Carol has earned numerous certifications and attended advanced training seminars to remain on top of the latest in the industry. She has even worked alongside a double board-certified plastic surgeon in the Milwaukee area who has provided her with a wealth of knowledge. Her skills and expertise in providing superior medical aesthetic services and her knowledge of medical-grade skincare products makes it possible for Carol to help her clients achieve their goals and realize the best version of themselves. Carol is exceptionally dedicated and strives to make sure her clients not only absolutely love their experience at Elemental Skin & Body but achieve their desired results.
Benito Aubergine, MD
Dr. Benito Aubergine is a practicing emergency medicine physician board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is trained and certified by the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine and serves as Medical Director for Elemental Skin & Body. He holds summa cum laude bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and mathematics from the University of Illinois and holds membership with Phi Beta Kappa. He obtained his Medical Doctorate from Rush University and completed his medical residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In his free time, Dr. Benito Aubergine loves traveling with his family, playing and recording music, and fine tuning his culinary skills.
